Can CEF switching function properly when you have VRFs traversing over a L2 switch via tagged trunks, whereby said switch has no CEF/FIB record for the VRF ? The only thing that shows on the L2 switch is the global arp (because it's L2).
From what it seems to me thus far, doing some digging, CEF is built for literal next hop and relies on FIB/L3 info? It being switched, to/through the L2 switch, seems like that could cause issues since there are no VRF prefixes found. I'm wondering if this doesn't cause process switching perhaps?
I could elaborate more, but i figure I should try to do less is more here.
