Hi all,
We recently had a branch router down due to some hardware issue. Sadly, there was also no support.
Manager decided to have a Cisco ISR 3925 (was used in DC, but replaced), with a SM-X-ES3-24-P. The thing is, as far as I know from reading from the docs, the base license is lanbase. The switch module however, comes with right-to-use license, and no permanent paper license (probably lost since our team did not manage this router before).
If I were to activate RTU ipbase license on the SM-X-ES3-24-P:
- After 90 days, if there are no device issue (no reload), it would keep the ipbase license, right?
- If it switched back to lanbase, would the network be affected (since apparently there are gaps in features between lanbase and ipbase)?
- If it switched back to lanbase, is it possible to re-activate the RTU ipbase license?
