Hi all! Is anyone here familiar with fan configuration for HPE switches? The fans on mine used to spin down after boot. I had incorrectly configured the air direction after that (which caused the fan speed to increase), but now after configuring the proper airflow direction, the fans now spin up after boot rather than spinning down.
I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to resolve it. I've upgraded to the latest firmware and have done several factory resets but nothing seems to work.
The only thing I can think of is that the correct configuration isn't getting loaded properly. I say that because there's no fan information in the configuration file. And if I put it in manually, it's gone from the file at the next boot. All that said, if I run the "dis fan" command, everything is configured properly.
Also worth nothing this is all at idle with nothing connected to the switch. Ambient temp in the room is cold (and the switch is cold to the touch) so there should be no need for fans to run at full speed.
