I have a client with two buildings connected via an existing and old fiber optic link.
I have almost no fiber experience, and I am hoping to replace the switching equipment controlling this link. I have been told it was 12 stands multimode, but only 2 (1 link) being used/required.
I have tons of pictures, so lets get started.
Each building has an industrial looking panel where I believe the fiber is terminated via ST connectors.
Pictures of the fiber termination cabinet:

So, I think I am looking at patch cables connected to these junction boxes via ST connectors right?

Currently, the orange patch cable is running up to an old Linksys 10/100 Switch, model EF3124

It seems to go to some kind of propreitary module called I think is this one, Cisco-Linksys EF31SC 100BaseFX SC Fiber Module. https://www.amazon.com/Cisco-Linksys-EF31SC-100BaseFX-Module-EF3116/dp/B0000899ZH

So with I hope those pictures help. Now on to my goal. I am hoping to replace thee Linksys switches with some basic Ubiquiti UniFi Switches with SFP Ports, with the proper SFP modules and Patch cables. Specifically Unifi Switch Pro's, https://store.ui.com/collections/unifi-network-routing-switching/products/usw-pro-24
I am thinking I will have to procure the right fiber patch cable to go from the fiber enclosure box, and the ST connectors, to the new UniFi SFP port and SFP module.
So I think since the cable is Multimode, and I want to get at least 1Gbps connectivity, I would get Unifi MM 1G, https://store.ui.com/collections/operator-accessories/products/sfp-modules ?
Then I would have to get a patch cable from say FS.com to go from ST to SC?https://www.fs.com/products/12202.html
I am way out of my leagure and hope I can get pointed in the right direction.
Thanks ahead of time!
Mike
