We had an issue trying to get Solarwinds NCM to upgrade the firmware on a stack of switches over the weekend, it copied the new image to one of the switches in the stack changed the boot command to use the new image reloaded then choked.
It hadn't copied it over to the second switch in the stack so that wasn't upgraded so we had to manually fix it this morning & upgrade the IOS on the switch missing the upgrade,
We are using 3850 Catalyst switches is there an alternative to manually copying the image to the flash on each of the switches in the stack?
It'd make automating it this with Ansible easier, if you didn't need to specify what switches in the stack to copy it to it was copied to all of them.
