So about 3 weeks ago my internet went out. Then after that day I've been having random issues, the internet going out for a few minutes or goes out completely during the night, etc. I call the provider and they say their still working on it. It's been 3 weeks and their still working on it.
But thats not really my question. See, I pay for 200 down / 15 up over cable. And when the internet is good I get that with a little bit extra on the downstream. But my buffer bloat is insane.
Before the internet went out I would have a little bloat. Well now it can hit over 1000ms, sometimes the bloat is so bad that the test cannot determine my ping.
I haven't changed anything on my side, I have a modem with AQM and a router with queue management as well, fq_codel.
It doesn't seem to be my end. Connecting my pc directly to the modem produces the same so my question is can this massive spike be from my ISP or is it my equip or pc?
