I spent the weekend messing around with perfSONAR in my homelab, it turned out really well at https://kd9cpb.com/perfsonar and I'm very much wanting to do more with perfSONAR at my day job
The Cisco perfSONAR container stuff at https://github.com/CiscoIOx/perfsonar looks amazing, but it's unclear to me if I can do similar container magic on an NX-OS 9 switch, or if that's a massive assache.
I just bought the containers book at https://www.ciscopress.com/store/containers-in-cisco-ios-xe-ios-xr-and-nx-os-orchestration-9780135783016 and will be getting a Nexus 9k to tinker with in the coming weeks. Wondering if anyone else has gone down the path of running either perfSONAR or other network monitoring containers inside of NX-OS? I'm a bit paranoid that I'm accidently going to cause a network outage doing something dumb with a throughput test, curious if there's any advice or lessons learned out there to calm my nerves.
