Where would you rather do routing?

I'm trying to learn my way up in networking and people have different point of views of how to best handle. Would you use a Fortinet or a layer 3 switch?

I see my boss loves Fortinet and the fortiswitches. I like extreme networks and the CLI is quite understandable. Everyone has its own arguments.
