Please help me on my ping going higher even though I moved the router closer to me.

I had my router placed at the 1st floor when they first installed it but the wire got chewed up by rats so I had them moved it up on the 2nd floor. It is not really far. Just up in the stairs. But when I play Apex or LoL, my ping is going 70ms and higher and not like the old one like 30ms. There are two repeaters connected to it. One in the 1st floor and another one in the 3rd floor. Does that affect the ping?
