I am temporarily handling IT for my company, as our previous person left abruptly. We are a very small company, and many of our employees work at clients' sites. We deploy various Cradlepoint routers to facilitate this, and they work very well. We have a mix of IBR600C's, IBR600LP's, and IBR1100's. We need to deploy 2 more routers, and I found that we have approximately 5 extra IBR600LP-VZ/AT's. I was hoping to use these until our budget replenishes in January. I took them home with me to configure over the weekend, but I forgot to bring a SIM. When I plug all of these in, it shows the "Modem/LTE" as "None." On 3 of them, the modem occasionally appears, but it has the current package version listed as 0.0.0.0. I don't know if there is something wrong with them, or if this is normal behavior when no SIM is inserted. The NCOS is v6.1, which is the latest version that supports the modem. I was going to manually update the modem firmware, but I can't actually locate it on Cradlepoint's website. I believe it would be MC200LE-VZ and MC200LE-AT. I ended up upgrading the NCOS to v6.5 on one of them, but it doesn't appear to make a difference. That probably wasn't the best idea, because I know this is an older router.
I am hoping that I can get these to work. Does anyone know if adding the SIM will make a difference? I'm not supposed to be back in until Tuesday, but I can stop in tomorrow to retrieve a Verizon and AT&T SIM. I know that the modems on the COR models are not removable, so it seems unusual that most of these are showing no modem. I did a factory reset, but I'm not too sure what else to do to troubleshoot them. I did review the system log, and I don't see any errors related to LTE. I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious, or if it really is as simple as loading the SIM card. I appreciate any tips, suggestions, etc.
