I am looking to buy one of these devices to use as a backup/failover WAN link.
The site currently has a netgate appliance that runs pfsense and it has an available WAN connection.
1) Will be selecting the Verizon option for Static IP, which is $5 per month. I assume that static IP allows me to remote into the firewall using the WAN IP, if desired. I know with dynamic IP those IPs are CGNAT and the device can't be accessed, directly.
2) Are there any 'gotchas' that you've experienced with this device?
I'm reading the documentation and it states that the unit comes with a USB power cable, but the power supply is optional, I'll have to see how that is added to the cart.
That's all I can think of for now, thank you.
edit- Power supply was listed under accessories, https://protectli.com/product/usb-power-adapter-idg400/
A bit shocked it doesn't ship with a power supply.
