Cisco port-channel configuration with NetApp

We have a NetApp FAS 27xx series system, 2 ethernet ports are teamed together in LACP. The vlan for netapp is pretty straightforward, just created a tagged interface for the port for the allowed vlan, then move the LIF to the interface vlan.

However, when we tried applying the VLAN our cifs share couldn't be reached so we had to revert the config to no VLAN. Idk, if our switch is lacking config. The switch is configured in trunk mode to NetApp, the port-channel is included in the VLAN table, should it be explicitly defined that "switchport trunk allowed VLAN <id>" for it to work? Many thanks for any insight.

The show int port-channel displays the ff:
"switchport trunk native vlan <id>"
"switchport mode trunk"
