Not at the same time obviously.
But I would like to have the following scenario: User is connected at their workplace through LAN and gets their IP from the DHCP server. Now they need to attend a meeting, disconnect from LAN and connect to the corporate WLAN in the meeting room and get the same IP assigned as they use to have on the LAN.
We're pretty much set up with the DHCP ranges and dynamic vlan assignment on the WLAN. I'm just not sure if it is possible to make a reservation for the same IP for two MAC addresses on the DHCP scope (the ethernet and the wireless MAC). Can this be done?
Also, when the user disconnects from the LAN will the IP be released immedeately so they can get it right away on WLAN?
