I considered posting this to /r/homenetworking but decided it might be best here
I have a 16 port managed Gigabit Ethernet switch that supports link aggregation. I’ve used LAG before with two standard Ethernet links between this switch and a similar 8 port switch and know it’s pretty straightforward from the configuration side
The question I have (before purchasing a MoCA 2.5 bridge) is will LAG Just Work with the MoCA bridge between two switches? I understand that from a physical connectivity standpoint it’s the same as having two copper links on each switch so I’m assuming it should be the same as if it was copper/Ethernet all the way through. But I’m wondering if there might be some subtle technical gotcha that may cause the MoCA to throw a wrench into it
Anyone ever done LAG over MoCA 2.5, or have any technical insight into why this might not work?
EDIT: I’m looking at this for the adapter
