Subnet Question. Was wondering if someone can clarify this for me. Why would you setup a subnet of 255.254.255.0 and be limited to 254 devices when you can go with 255.0.0.0 and have a massive amount of devices connected?

Question in the title. Sorry if it’s a stupid question, but I’m very new to this and couldn’t get a straight answer from people I ask.
