SFP Tranceiver Issue

Hi To All,

I have an SG-500-28p switch and Im wondering how to check if the SFP is working. So far I only have 1 switch, 1 SFP transceiver and 1 SFP patch cord. Normally i used to check if SFP is working thru light passing in my patch cable. But this one have no light but when i checked it on the CLI. It shows in logs that SFP is detected. But no light is passing into it when i checked it.

Also in my "SHow int status" command. The gi1/1/25 is down

My question is, is my SFP really working or not?
