I’m trying to tie down our IXP peering sessions a bit more. We’re already doing the usual filtering, RPKI validation, etc. and I want to extend this to prefix filters as well.
I’ve worked out an automation that generates prefix lists and filters based on RIR data using bgpq3, all good
Now we are peering with some big networks and some prefix lists are like 5000+ entries long (already aggregated)
Would this cause any performance issues (BGP convergence time, control plane impact, etc.) if I deploy such filters on MX204 routers, or is this just easy day to day stuff?
