Hello all,
I had created a post a few days ago asking if armored fiber optic cable needed to be grounded. The majority of users responded saying the fiber should be grounded, on one side only.
The thing this, the fiber is already pre-terminated and I’m unable to ground it like this without risking damaging the fibers inside. Note: There shouldn’t be too much outer sheathing exposed, that was only done for demonstration purposes.
Instead, can I simply remove the outer sheathing like this and grounding from the outer layer using a cable clamp of some sort?
Will my proposed method have the same effect on grounding?
Thank you.
