Hi all,
So here is the scenario. We just had an issue where some onsite client apps were having difficulty connecting to remote server applications (multiple countries). ICMP was always perfect. TCP connection to the remote endpoint mostly worked. When we would perform an operation retrieving or requesting data from remote endpoint it would be dropped (client app would show warning that no data was received but most likely an incomplete data set). In this case, we have found that there was multiple ISP issues but much later after the issues.
What I would like to know if there is any good way of diagnosing WAN connectivity issues, where certain traffic is dropped or being incomplete?
Downdetector has been good to us before but not many reported issues for the affected ISPs at the time of the issues. We have Cisco and PA appliances onsite that we can use to troubleshoot connections.
Thanks.
