Marketing for SD-Access; how true/untrue do you think these "drivers" are?

So I'm doing a little bit of a dive into Cisco's SD-Access and Intent-Based Networking and, well, I'm getting annoyed with all the marketing material. Cisco claims trends for Mobility, IOT, Cloud, and Security are all reasons why we need to "rethink the network"... I think there's a really good point to be made here with security - micro-segmentation is definitely a valid use case - but every other point they're trying to make seems of highly questionable relevance.

Yes, more end devices are connecting to the network. But so what? That doesn't make the network "harder to manage", it just means that you have to design it with the appropriate capacity. As for "cloud" driver... it's very relevant on the WAN side, but I don't see how increasing reliance on cloud computing means that we need SDA.

Is there some larger vision I'm failing to see here? Or are these "drivers" for SD-Access just marketing nonsense?
