Chelsio T540/LP differences; and FS.com transceivers under Ubuntu 18

Any difference between Chelsio T540-CR and T540-LP-CR besides height? (2.7" vs 4"). Does the FS.com SFP-10GSR-85 SFP+ module work well with either, under Ubuntu 18 on a Dell (R540).
