I a recently graduated from college with a network degree, I recently started a job that handles routers and working with BGP, circuits, MPLS, DMVPN etc. We often have to investigate why BGP peers are down and often my investigation leads me contacting the provider of the circuit that peer goes over. I am having a hard time understanding why the provider gets involved, could anyone offer some advice?
