Im having some issues with getting a zone working to present some Rubrik archiving storage for our SE's. I am also 0% expert in SAN Storage but here we are. I also don't know if the issue is even on my side of things. I am currently waiting on some vendor help.
I set the FC interfaces on the Cisco Switch to be members of the proper VSAN, and they log in.
I configured the FCAlias' for both the PWWNs given to me by our SEs, put those FCalias members into the new zone I configured. Then I added the zone to the zoneset, and activated the zoneset.
I can run a show zoneset active, and I see the zone, with the proper members, but only one of the PWWNs is showing as active:
zone name TR1-RubrikArch-G200-5A vsan 10
* fcid 0x410043 [pwwn 51:06:00:80:12:cc:b7:43]
pwwn 26:01:00:0e:25:00:00:1b
The port-channel/Interfaces from the switch with the G200 to the other switch, is set to VSAN 20, but also set for trunking on VSAN 10-20-30. Would the port trunking command override the port VSAN?
Port mode is TE
Port vsan is 20
Admin Speed is 16 Gbps
Belongs to port-channel23
Trunk vsans (admin allowed and active) (1,10,20,30)
Trunk vsans (up) (1,10,20,30)
Also, I only configured Fabric A, and not B. They should still be able to see storage with only one side up correct? The whole redundancy thing...
Any troubleshooting steps people use often in SAN configuring that I might be missing?
