I have a windows server that always returns a hop count of 1 for any destination. It sends out the ICMP packets as though they are pings with a TTL of 128 even though I am executing tracert.
Anyone know how to cure this?
E.g.:
C:\Users\X>tracert 8.8.8.8
Tracing route to dns.google [8.8.8.8]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 10 ms 9 ms 9 ms dns.google [8.8.8.8]
Trace complete.
