If you had to define the roles of a Tier 2 Network Engineer and a Tier 3, how would you?
Our networking contractor's team structure is a little different than we originally anticipated. They have Tier 3 guys doing new architecture, complex project engineering, and even outage tickets - basically everything. I thought Tier 3 was mainly engineering and Tier 2 was mostly break fix and on site support.
How are they defined in your organization?
