Have a lot(100) switches that get deployed/redeployed/moved/etc each winter in a huge layer 2 network.....I know...spare me the layer 3 talk, its not my network. Been having problems with keepalives on older catalyst switches and STP convergence. I touch each of these each November before the busy season, and wondering if I conf t each switch with "spanning-tree vlan 1-4094 priority 1 billion" would be an effective way to keep these puppies in line? All are access layer.
