Hi,
This one may sound simple, however at the same time I was wondering what people do as a "best practice" At my last place, we had local data/voice subnets, which connected into a voice server in a production VLAN network
Over at the new place, it looks like the voice VLAN exists on it's own subnet, however it has a voice server on it too. Given that it "works" there isn't a need to move it, however at the same time, the company will move to a brand new voice solution, that we will deploy worldwide really, and therefore we could play with it, if we're having to move..any way
I'd have thought that the voice VLAN would only really have telephones, and it would connect to a server on something else entirely, but this has made me think "hmm" a bit.
