Hi, I am trying to configure a basic Vlan using a draytek firewall and a netgear level 3 switch.
The firewall hosts 2 lans, 192.168.1.1/24 and 192.168.2.1/24. This firewall will be connected to a level 3 switch which will have 2 vlans, one vlan for lan1 and another for lan2 and the clients will be connected to these vlans through the switch.
My question is, how do I connect the firewall to the switch. Do I require a trunk connection which somehow contains both lan1 & lan2 through a single lan port, or do I connect the firewall to the switch through 2 separate lan ports.
Secondly, how would I configure the switch so that it routes traffic between the 2 vlans as I want a client on vlan1 to be able to ping a client on vlan2.
Thanks in advance.
