Cisco warranty without a contract, worth anything?

Hi,

I was checking the coverage on some of our Cisco devices, and one of them says:

Contract status: Not Covered

Warranty status: Covered until 2024-01-01

I am surprised by the warranty, since it is a refurbished 4500x switch.

But... does this warranty mean anything without a SMARTnet contract in place?

To add to the confusion, we have two more 4500x switches, bought much earlier and from different source, and those say:

Contract Status: Not Covered, Warranty status: Unavailable

Contract Status: Covered, Warranty status: Covered until 2025-10-31
