Is Cisco packet tracer good enough to use to learn instead of physical hardware?

I can't really afford to buy and don't have the space for physical hardware like 24 port switches and routers. I was wondering if using Cisco packet tracer would be a good way to learn stuff like subnets, vlans, routing, WAN etc.

What are the limitations of using this to learn?
