So on my desktop computer that is connected through an Ethernet cord has a problem where every site except google owned sites and Facebook won’t connect. It says “This site can’t be reached” when connecting to amazon. It then shows tips which I tried and “ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT” in smaller font.
This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Then it fixed itself after a day. Now it happened again and I’ve been stuck trying to figure it out the past couple of days. All other devices work in the house. It’s not the browser I tried both chrome and edge and both steam and discord doesn’t work.
Things I’ve tried
-changing DNS I tried Comcast’s 75.75.75.75 and googles 8.8.8.8
-I uninstalled and reinstalled the network adapter in the device manager
-in the CMD in administrative mode I type “netsh winsock reset catalog” & “ netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
-I restarted my network router/gateway
-did a power cycle ( disconnect Things I’ve tried
