Google is forcing a location based on my in-home wifi

Help! I suspect Google has attached a location to my in-home, personal wifi, and every time I move it plays weord havoc with devices. Having just moved, my wife complains frequently about her location being reported as the last place we lived. Exploring this myself, location services (namely on Android phones) work just fine when they pull a location from GPS, but report the last place we lived until then.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there a way to manually update Google's location info for my wifi? I found I can remove my SSID from Google's mapping by adding "_nomap", but that means I would need to reconnect many, many devices and am looking for another solution.

Alternately, does anyone know how long Google takes to naturally update these locations?
