Hello Reddit, I'm currently studying subnetting for my CCENT and I understand it fairly well. I'm currently just doing random subnetting questions to become more proficient at it.
Just seeing some of the practice questions online got me thinking if anyone really uses huge networks in the real world like /8 - /16 that gives you a ton of hosts. Has anyone come across a big network in the wild?
My understanding most private and public networks are smaller like /24 for private and /30 for public. I understand some huge corps may have bigger public ip blocks but I'm just wondering if I'll even come across a unnecessary huge network like /8 - /16.
