Hello everyone!
I am currently completing a bachelors degree in computer information systems. I really want to focus on networking and potentially get into cyber but not positive about that yet. I graduate in a year and a half.
I am 30 years old and making a career switch. I am not currently working.
I am taking 6 classes and have an 18 month old son who I take care of during the day.
I don’t exactly have a ton of extra time on my hands but I feel like I should be doing something else outside of school in order to put myself in the best position possible to get a high paying job once I graduate.
My questions are:
Do I get a job and put my son in daycare? Not even sure I would be able to afford to do so...depends if I would make enough money in an entry level position to pay for it
Do I use my extra time to work on a certification, and if so which one? A lot of what I have read says start with Comptia A+. Is this recommended?
Thanks in advance.
