Can someone explain the sub-parts of Metro Eth?

We're getting quotes for Metro Ethernet and I have some questions about the bandwidth allocations for it. I've got some assumptions that I just want to check are correct.

So the primary link is 100Mb, but the IP Plug is quoted as half this. This would be the guaranteed minimum bandwidth for this service. Which can go up to 100 Mb/s.

Then there is Voice unmanaged and RTVI, which I am assuming is voice and video guaranteed bandwidth respectively, and as a subset of the total IP bandwidth, not on top of it.

Are my assumptions accurate?

Primary ME 100Mb

  • IP Plug 50 Mb

  • Voice unmanaged 3Mb

  • RTVI 8Mb

Backup ME 100 Mb

  • IP Plug 20 Mb

  • Voice unmanaged 3 Mb
