Router died - any security risks involved in giving to a tech recycling site?

My NightHawk died on me (likely the bits involved in power; I had the wrong AC adapter connected)…

I searched and found that routers *might* contain the admin passwords... but is there anything else I should do when either 1) recycling, 2) getting repaired/selling?
