Back in January, the company I work for posted a position for a Sr. network Engineer, and only got a few responses for the month they posted it. They pulled it after a month for misc reasons.. Pretty much they didn't think we needed to replace the person that quit in our office in California.
But it has been reposted and the job description cleaned up. (The first time, it was pretty bad)
It's been out there for two weeks, and there have only been a few hits on it.
I know northeast Wisconsin is thin on them, but the fact there has been very little interest is depressing, since I'm swamped and need the help. Right now I am working with consultants to help offset the load, and it's getting expensive.
Are we a dying breed, or is this just a really small market with no one with experience?
