Cisco ASA or NGFW?

I've been using ASAs with Firepower for while but I get the impression from Cisco's website that they want you to go with the NGFW line rather than ASAs these days. They offer a migration tool and the blurb seems to be pushing that way.

I've never seen an NGFW firewall and don't really know the difference. The specs for the NGFWs are higher but I'm just dealing with 20-30Mb circuits so I don't need multi-gigabit performance. I'm pretty familiar with ASAs so there's a comfort factor there, but I was wondering if it's worth going with the NGFWs for any reason.
