Hello. I am administering HP ProCurve switches. These switches have two VLANs configured: VLAN 1 for data and VLAN 2 for voice traffic. VLAN 2 traffic has been prioritized by using the following command qos priority 6
under the VLAN 2 interface. So end users handling calls using physical IP phones would be prioritized since these IP phones are part of VLAN 2.
Recently, softphones running on the computers (and thus part of VLAN 1) have been added to the network. Now I wanted to confirm if I run qos priority 6
on the interface level i.e. where the computer is connected to the switch port, would this prioritize the soft phone traffic?
