Learn firewall switch and patch panels?

My conworker is gifting me a pfsense physical firewall to learn with but doesn’t have time to teach me. I’m looking to learn basically how to configure everything and how to connect it to a switch and how to connect switch to latch panels and make a functioning network design. Is there an beginner friendly all in one guide for this anyone recommends
