Dumb question of the day. Why is there no "ip address" command to add an ip to an gigabit interface on Cisco ASA?

I'm ssh'd into an asa firewall and trying to configure 2 ports with ip addresses/subnets etc. Conf t > int gi1/2 and there is no "IP Address" option. I feel like I'm missing something super simple.
