Hi All,
We have an issue at a customers site. 2 different guest networks sit on VLAN 20 and 30
Looking to add another Ruckus AP. When the Rucksus is plugged into the comms room guest switch the Zone Director welcomes it into the family. However, moving along the site through the switches we have a spare port which is 3 on a Netgear FS726TP Which needs replacing! . One of our other techs tried to get this working and couldn't onsite, the Zone director didnt see it.
On the switch, ports 2-8 are used for AP's which should be tagged to 20 and 30
Port 3 is tagged to VLAN 20 and 30 on.
On the switch, ports 2-8 are used for AP's which should be tagged to 20 and 30
I noticed that in the PVID settings all the other AP ports 2,4,5,6,7,8 are on PVID 1 whereas port 3 is on PVID 30. Could this be causing the issue for the Zone Director? Ports 2,4,5,6,7,8 all have AP's connected and work fine/
I thought PVID's were supposed to match the VLAN, Basically any untagged packets that come in hit the PVID which then knows to put it on VLAN 20,30
It is an old Netgear FS726TP which does need replacing!
Any help would be great,
