Hey networking community! I work as an intern in IT and our company is looking to upgrade our clients routers. Our clients have anywhere from 5-35 employees. We are looking for a good swap to eliminate the fantastic Frontier FIOS routers so graciously rented to them by Verizon. I personally am no professional network person and haven't installed routers in a few years so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Budget isn't an issue for our clients are very ready for an upgrade. So far I have looked into Ubiquiti and it seemed like their EdgeRouter 4 would work. I also called Cisco and they recommended their MX84 or ISR4431. I am looking for a wired router with a good firewall, the ability to remote in (right now we have to drive on site to fix networking issues), and the ability to create a VPN between 3 offices across town for remote desktopping. Any recommendations or advice is greatly appreciated.
