I have probably digged deeper in electrical trash bin than i should've, as i have obtained couple of Motorola wifi access points that have way too many features and options i don't have clue about. I have background in sw development and i am not a network engineer, not at all even if i wished i was.
I have installed one outside and one inside and truth be told they work great with all devices i have tried this far. I am using them in my house with mobile phones/laptops/desktop pc:s and there is nothing wrong.
Now i got a robot vacuum, Roborock S50(xiaomi brand? chinese, sends data to china and all that.) and it seems to be unable to connect to wifi. It sees the SSID and tries to connect with no success although several tries from different angles. It connects to my phone wifi hotspot without trouble.
My colleague told me he had trouble with Neato brand vac and Cisco meraci ap, he had to enable lowest possible bitrates to allow "legacy" wifi devices to connect.
I looked through the myriad of options in AP6532 flash-based UI yesterday, tried several different options but nothing worked.
I am using one radio at the moment, 2.4gHz and WPA2-CCMP with ascii -password. There is a ton of other options i have tried but they are seemingly irrelevant to normal functioning, non enterprise-setup of our home wifi.
Operation manual was 950 pages long and i lack the competence to even comprehend most of it :O
Any help?
