Best Practices for Multiple VLANs/Subnets/DHCP

Hey all,

I have been given a blanket assignment to clean up one of my schools' network. I've installed 2 new IDFs because some of our runs exceeded 100 meters. I've physically cleaned up our racks and installed UPS's. Now I would like to begin to take a look at redesigning the network.

We are a windows environment and we have HP/Aruba switches. This building has one vlan on a whole /16 currently, and maybe has 150 PCs and about 500 wireless clients each day.

I want to build a new DHCP server to replace the on-site DC that's there currently, and I want to break up our network a bit.

So currently my plan is to do 3 subnets that are all /20s, which is way smaller than what exists today and more than enough room to grow.

Vlan 16

172.26.16-31.xx can be for PCs and printers

Vlan 32

172.26.32-47.xx can be for wireless aps and clients

and

Vlan 48

172.26.48-63.xx can be for management and cameras

My question is, for vlans 16 and 32, what si the best practice for DHCP? We would like to use windows for DHCP and I know you can make seperate scopes, but I am unsure of how to get each VLAN to a specific pool in my environment.

Thanks
