Hey everyone. I work on the AV side of our IT team but our network/sys admin person was just let go of on Friday. Management is expecting a small remote office to be setup this week and I'm getting stuck with making sure it happens. This space is going to be for 7 workstations, 7 Voip phones, 1 conference phone, 1 WAP.
A circuit was ordered and installed by the ISP on Friday. The service tech from the ISP gave me the network, gateway, useable, and broadcast IP. The size of the network is /30. I've been looking into this and discovered we only have 2 useable IP addresses. One is taken up by the router attached modem that the ISP provided and then we have 1 useable.
Will I be able to connect all of he devices to a network this size of I use a smart switch and create VLANs/Subnets for additional IP addresses or do I need to go back to the ISP and change our network size?
