I manage a large hotel network that is using all procurve/aruba switching. I inherited this network with almost no documentation (of course), and while I have a very good grasp of the system now I’m still having some issues that I haven’t been able to work out.
Spanning tree has been a complete horror, but I’ve been able to resolve most of the big issues. But I’m still having a hard time figuring out some things.
How do I stop stp from shutting off edge ports that feed an IP phone & pc? I have pvst-filter & bpdu-filter enabled on these ports, but they continuously being disabled(and immediately enabled). It’s making a huge mess in my logs and makes looking for things almost impossible.
