Would you classify a dirty switch (a switch between the firewalls and the internet providers) as an access switch or a distribution switch?
You see, our switch naming convention only allows for core, distribution, and access switches (ds05, as77, etc). We had been classifying them as access switches, but somebody decided that wasn't right and now the debate is raging.
We only have a few in that role (dirty switch) and I don't really see the name as being that critical - but I have been wrong before.
