The strangest thing seems to be happening with this equipment and I can't for the life of me figure out why it will not show a link.
The equipment in question is a Cisco 800 metropolitan router that has a 8 port integrated switch and a Cisco 2602i AP. I don't have a PoE switch for the office, so I use an injector. For some reason this AP will not show Any form of link to the switch. At all. I made sure spanning tree was enabled as well as CDP but no luck, not even a debug message stating link change on either end. I plug the AP into my management computer and I get a 1gb link and can ping the AP. I'm truly pulling my hair out here... How is it I can have a link on my management computer but not on a switch. I changed the cables out changed the PoE injector, tried a different port. I have scoured the internet far and wide with no luck of information ..
