Uk guy needs someone who has networking experience

I'm just putting this out there as I'm at the end of my tether , I've recently purchased a third party router ( netgear r7000) and separate modem ,done the research and it seemed an easy enough task even for a novice like me !!! How wrong I was !!!I now have equipment I can't set up and nobody to turn to for help ,isp obviously gave me username and password but that's where they stop , as you guess I've followed the netgear setup genie and keep hitting problems ,is there anyone out there willing to be patient and talk me through this headache, Thanks for reading people
